What is AC chemical cleaning?+
A deep clean where the indoor coils are removed where possible and treated with specialised chemicals to dissolve caked dirt, bacteria and mould, then rinsed, with the blower and drain flushed. It restores cooling and removes coil smells that a standard service cannot.
When does an AC really need a chemical clean?+
When cooling stays weak straight after a normal service, when there is a persistent musty smell, when there is visible mould on the coils, or roughly once every 8 to 12 months on heavily used units. If the coils are only dusty, a standard service is enough.
What is the difference between a service and a chemical clean?+
A service is routine care done several times a year — filters, drain, gas and airflow. A chemical clean is a deeper, occasional job where the coils are treated at a chemical level. Most units need far more services than chemical cleans.
How long does an AC chemical clean take?+
Longer than a service — roughly 1.5 to 2.5 hours per unit — because the coil is partially removed, treated, rinsed and refitted, and the drain is flushed.
Will it get rid of the bad smell?+
Musty and sour AC smells come from mould and bacteria on damp coils and in the drain line. A chemical clean plus drain-line flushing removes that source rather than masking it. We do not, however, make medical or health guarantees.
Is it messy inside the apartment?+
It is wet work, so we sheet and protect the area under the unit, cover nearby furniture and leave the space clean. Technicians use protective equipment and handle chemicals to the product's safety instructions.
Which areas do you cover?+
Our AC team currently focuses on Downtown Dubai, Business Bay and DIFC. Additional Dubai areas may be available depending on schedule — ask us about your building.
Is the price fixed beforehand?+
Yes. Chemical cleaning is quoted per unit with a fixed price before work starts. If we find the coils are only dusty, we will recommend the cheaper standard service instead.
